atertown is owned and operated by Jerry and Juanita Cousins. They have always regarded themselves as being in the "pleasure business", always in contact with customers and friends on a daily basis.
Fierce competition and daily business operations educated them, made them sharp and held their interest. Their Watertown crew have become like family; Jerry and Juanita are proud of their staff's dedication to and knowledge of the recreational sports industry. Customer loyalties have also been appreciated. The Watertown crew continues to look forward to meeting new people and making new friends.
In the late 60's Jerry went to work for H.C. Paul Limited in Winnipeg, the Mercury outboard distributor at the time, where he learned the ropes in the marine industry from Harry Paul and staff.
In 1972 the Cousins opened the doors of "Great River Road Marine" as a Mercury and Lund dealer at Otter Falls, Manitoba. The dealership gained momentum and over the years earned the prestigious Mercury Congress Award many times over.
In 1990, a suitable building was purchased in the Lac Du Bonnet area and renovated, becoming home to Watertown Inc. Now Watertown has been established for over 20 years in the summer and winter recreation business in Manitoba with pleasure, fishing and pontoon boats, Mercury Outboards, Arctic Cat snowmobiles and ATV's and an excellent selection of accessories and clothing.
